Coronavirus and pets: what should I do?

Mascotas y coronavirus

Many families that share their lives with pets have a lot of questions about how to care for their furry friends at this time. And here at Derwent, we want to help spread peace of mind: according to the WHO, there is no scientific evidence that animals can suffer from COVID-19 or are capable of transmitting it.

With this in mind, here’s some advice:

– Do not put masks on your pets, as they can cause stress.
– Place animals in the care of another person if their owners are infected (if possible).
– Wash pets’ paws and disinfect their leashes, toys and feeders more frequently than before.
