On March 28th in Zaragoza (Spain), we attended the MedAID (Mediterranean Aquaculture Integrated Development) Seminar entitled ‘Health Management, Disease and Wellbeing’.
It was a chance for us to learn about the main technical, environmental, economic and social challenges that are impacting the sustainability of the aquaculture sector. In addition, the seminar centred on most prevalent diseases, such as vibriosis in the case of bacteria and monogeneans in the case of parasites, and their impact on aquaculture production, as well as aspects concerning health management and biosecurity for marine aquaculture companies in the Mediterranean region.
